The art classes are open-ended in that they include math, social studies, literature, science and religion connections and collaborative teamwork with their teachers.
In art class we address the 4 C's of learning which are important aspect in education. They are critical thinking, communication, collaboration and creativity.

Pre K and Kindergarten are reinforcing lessons they have learned during first trimester. Color recognition, shapes, background of a painting, pencil and glue skills,
Grade 1 completed their literature meets art lesson from The Hungry Caterpillar,
in collaboration with their teacher. They used recycled egg cartons to paint and create their caterpillar.
Grade 2 and 3 are working on their art portfolios and exploring the art of free style.
With free style they use their creativity to design the cover of the portfolio.
Grade 4 and 5 will be studying the work of Salvador Dali, a Spanish artist who began the surrelist style of art. The students will create their version of his famous clock paintings.
Grade 6 researched the American artist Frank Stella after working on a paper sculpture inspired by him.
Grade 7 and 8 reinforced their knowledge of artists we have studied with an Art scavenger hunt, using the computer to answer questions and record in their art copybook.
