At Drexel Neumann Academy, music provides students with opportunities for creativity, self-expression and performance. Through hands-on learning, students have opportunities to explore rhythm, make music together and share what they have learned with the school community.

DNA has also collaborated with Musicopia to bring additional music experiences to our students, including bucket drumming. Musicopia provides music and dance programming to schools and communities throughout the Greater Philadelphia region through workshops, residencies, assemblies and other instructional programs led by professional Teaching Artists.

Musicopia at DNA

Students Take the Stage for a Bucket Drumming Performance

After making music together through bucket drumming, DNA students brought their rhythms to the stage for the school community.

Students performed together in the DNA gym, sharing what they had been working on with classmates, families and members of the school community.

Bucket Drumming in Action at DNA

DNA students got hands-on with rhythm during a Musicopia bucket drumming experience. Students used buckets as percussion instruments while learning and playing together as a group.
